Garrison Chapel Pembroke Dock after restoration

12 DOCKYARD CHAPEL
Built in 1834, it is considered to be the only classical Georgian church in Wales while the avenue of trees and the Georgian houses leading to the chapel are attractive and quite unique features in Wales. In later years the chapel became the Garrison Theatre, In 1961 a Sunderland Flying Boat was acquired from the French and exhibited on land adjacent to the redundant Dockyard Chapel, before being sold on to another site. In later years the chapel building housed a motor museum. The Chapel has undergone extensive renovation with a Heritage Lottery grants. To celebrate the completion the site was visited by Price Charles in the summer of 2006
