27. TRINITY CHAPEL

Following a dispute the Rev Josephus Williams, who was the incumbent of the Tabernacle Congregational Church in Albion Square, and members of his congregation, he and break away members initially held services in the Temperance Hall in Lewis Street before their new chapel in Meyrick Street was opened for worship in 1841. In 1911 the church became known as Trinity Congregational Chapel. Formerly Congregationalist it is now the spiritual home of the United Reform and the Methodist Church
