THE FRIENDS OF PEMBROKE DOCK
MEMORIAL PARK At
a meeting held in Pater Hall on Friday 14th March 2008 the Town
Council agreed to the formation of the Friends of Pembroke
Dock Memorial Park.
The aims and objectives of the
newly formed Association is to lo improve
the
Pembroke Dock Memorial Park for the benefit of’ residents, visitors and wildlife
and to encourage
and
facilitate greater use enjoyment
of the Park
by all.
In pursuance of this aim the Association will seek in conjunction with
the County Council owners of the Park to ensure that an
changes
are sustainable and respect the Park’s I
Heritage and distinctiveness,
to
represent the views of
the residents
of Pembroke Dock in
matters
concerning the Park, to
form links and work co—operatively with the Pembrokeshire County
Council who have ownership and responsibility for the Park as well as
businesses.
community groups, charities, schools and
other appropriate organizations including
groups who
already
have facilities within the park such
as the Pembroke
Dock Bowing Club, to organize. host and
fund events
and activities within or
associated
with
the Park, and to complement
other
projects which are taking
place
within the
Town Council area.
The meeting was well attended and following the acceptance of the
Constitution of the Association, the meeting confirmed the appointment
of Councilor Sue Perkins Chair, Mr. Don Earl, Vice Chair and Mr. Ian
Jones as Secretary, It was agreed that other appointments would be made
at the first meeting of the new Association on 28th March 2008 in the
Warrior Room Pater Hall commencing at 1030hrs
