Our Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins was pleased a to be invited to the Imble Lane ground of Pembroke Dock Cricket Club to open the charity event and cricket match in aid of the Martin Roberts Children's Fund,  which is based at Withybush Hospital. It caters for children who have been abused, neglected, bullied, suffered drug abuse and other problems. We have 400 cases in the county of Pembrokeshire, and all we can afford is to employ a special nurse 2 days a week. A spokesperson for the club reported that the aim this year is to have someone full time. The cricket club have pledged £20,000 this year towards this aim The match was be between the Doctors, Consultants, and other Specialist Staff who will be 11 in all and they will be playing our team at Pembroke Dock Cricket Club.

As well as a thrilling cricket match, there was entertainment which will include Brian Elliott the Magic Man, Bouncy Castles, Ducking Stools, Barbeque, Raffles and many other things to keep the youngsters entertained.......more on Roberts Rambles


Royal Visit by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

Flew in to meet craftsmen and representatives of the Townscape Heritage Initiative at the newly restored Garrison Chapel, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. Also there to receive them was our Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins accompanied by Assembly Member Christine Gwyther....P.S. First Minister Rhodri Morgan  missed his chance to be featured by the web team....sorry

A busy week for Pembroke Dock Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins as she joined the Mayor of Pembroke Councillor Rose Blackburn in welcoming the participants of the Sea-fair Haven Event 2006 to South Quay Pembroke. The Mayor also attended an similar event on Monday of this week to welcome other members of Sea Fair Haven Week

Keep Wales Tidy  Hobbs Point Clean Up

The Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins joined Assembly Member Christine Gwyther,  County Councillor Kate Beckton, Tegryn Jones Chief Executive Keep Wales Tidy, Simon Preddy Fly-tipping Officer Keep Wales Tidy, Councillor Ron Watts and Town Clerk Ian Jones for a group picture before the start of the clean up as part of Keep Wales Tidy Week 2006.

Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins attends events in Festival Week

The Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins accompanied by Assembly Member Christine Gwyther
and the team from Communities First enjoy the finale of the Pembroke Dock Midsummer Carnival Week at the "Roots Concert" held tonight in the Pater Hall....a fitting conclusion to a spectacular week. The entertainment for the evening was from Rod Clements & The Ghosts of Electricity, supported by Lowri Evens (pictured)



     


Wednesday 21st June 2006
Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins and Deputy Mayor Councillor Paul Weatherall 
join the Parade thorough Pembroke Dock for the Midsummer Festival. The parade made up of youth groups in the town were joined by a band , belly dancers and circus performers. The parade was escorted by the police round the town to a garden party and entertainment in Western Way Car Park.

Again support of the Midsummer Festival our Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins attended the Tower Museum Front Street for a Cheese and Wine Party.....she was welcomed by Councillor Ron Watts the curator of the museum trust...the guests were entertained by the singing and playing of the boys and girls from Pennar School

In support of the Midsummer Festival our Mayor Councillor Sue Perkins attended the Made in India, Pembroke Street Indian Buffet Lunch , the web team were going to feature this event but have thought it best as it is fathers day to treat this as a private function.... p.s. fun was had by all  were told.....
