Married with four children, two girls, one currently living in New Zealand and  one back at home after 12 years away; two boys, one in Haverfordwest and one in cardiff.

Part time Badminton Development Coach and  Course Tutor for the Welsh Badminton Union and part-time coach for Pembs county Council.

He has been a councillor for seventeen years and is on the Joint twinning committee with Pembroke Town Counciland the Town Guide committee.  Also Chairman of the Pembroke Dock Web Project steering committee and Trustee of the Pater Hall Community Trust.

Runs the local Junior Badminton Club with his wife Linda, and also runs five after school sports clubs for the council, a Junior Club in Haverfordwest and one in Tenby and also the Junior County Squad.

Other interests include walking and in recent years this has included – The Inca Trail; Mt Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa; The National Park Coast Path in Northern Colombia in South America and getting down to the bottom of his garden (which admittedly is quite steep!!!)

He enjoys almost all sports althouigh he draws the line at synchronised swimming!
