No-one consults more with the people of the town than Kate who stands as a Labour member and firmly believes that it is their opinion she represents, not her own.  For instance she has worked hard to get the local opinions heard at county level with regard to the marina scheme. Now in her second term as a county councilor, she added the town council to her portfolio at the last election and contributes incisively to a town council that is all the stronger for having all the four county councillors on board.
